โรงเรียนนาวังวิทยา ตำบลนาวัง อำเภอเมืองอำนาจเจริญ จังหวัดอำนาจเจริญ
โรงเรียนอำนาจเจริญ ได้รับหนังสือด่วนมากที่ อบ (สศจ ) ๐๓๓๐/๔๐๒๔๒ ลงวันที่ ๓๐ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๓๓ ให้ทำการจัดตั้งโรงเรียนสาขาตำบลนาวัง โดยมีนายเจริญ ช่วงชิง เป็นผู้ก่อตั้งและผลักดันให้เกิดโรงเรียนสาขาขึ้น ผู้ประสานงานคนแรกคือ นายพีระพงษ์ อังคุระษี ผู้ช่วยผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายวิชาการโรงเรียนอำนาจเจริญ มีครู-อาจารย์มาปฏิบัติหน้าที่ ที่โรงเรียนสาขาจำนวน ๑๐ คน และโรงเรียนสาขาได้ทำการเปิดสอนในวันที่ ๑ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๓๓ โดยใช้อาคารเรียนของโรงเรียนบ้านโคกช้างฮ้ายอาคารเรียนชั่วคราวจำนวน ๒ ห้องเรียนและมีจำนวนนักเรียนทั้งสิ้น ๗๗ คน
หลังจากนั้นนายพีระพงษ์ อังคุระษี ได้ย้ายไปปฏิบัติหน้าที่ที่โรงเรียนเขมราฐพิทยาคม จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี ผู้อำนวยการเจริญ ช่วงชิงได้มอบหมายให้นายรังสิทธิ์ บุญรอด ผู้ช่วยผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายบริการ โรงเรียนอำนาจเจริญให้ไปปฏิบัติหน้าที่ประสานงาน เมื่อวันที่ ๑๐ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๓๓ และได้ทำการย้ายมาเปิดทำการสอน (ปัจจุบัน) ที่บริเวณโนนหนองสิม บ้านนาโพธิ์ ตำบลนาวัง ซึ่งเป็นที่ดินบริจาคของ นายเฮ่ง ไชยพันธ์ โดยมีคณะกรรมการสภาตำบลเป็นผู้ประสานงาน ซึ่งมีเนื้อที่จำนวนทั้งสิ้น ๓๐ ไร่ ตั้งอยู่ที่หมู่ ๗ บ้านนาโพธิ์ ตำบลนาวัง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดอำนาจเจริญ เมื่อวันที่ ๒๙ มีนาคม ๒๕๓๗ กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ประกาศเป็นโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาใหม่ โดยชื่อว่า “ โรงเรียนนาวังวิทยา “
